After completing his medical studies at Al-Nahrain University, Iraq, he went on to receive certifications from the Arab Board of Internal Medicine and the Jordan Board of Endocrinology and Diabetes. He also gained a UK Speciality Certificate in Endocrinology and Diabetes. Dr. Bashar went on to complete post-graduation studies, gaining a Diploma in Endocrinology at the University of South Wales, UK, and a Master of Research (M.Res.) degree in Diabetes and Obesity from Imperial College London, UK.
