He is licensed by the  Medical Council of India as well as the Department of Health (DOH) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (M.R.C.P.) (UK). While he is a specialist in Hematology and Oncology medicine, his special interests lie in internal medicine. He was previously a member of the American College of Physicians. With 22 years of extensive experience in his field, Dr. Mir has previously worked as an internal medicine specialist in the UAE, as well as a medical specialist in the Ministry of Health (MOH), in Saudi Arabia.
