Dr. Borg completed his undergraduate training in the University of Malta before moving to London in 2007 where he undertook his specialist training in emergency medicine and subspecialty training in pediatric emergency medicine. He worked as a consultant and then as lead consultant for pediatric emergency medicine at St. George’s Hospital, one of London’s four major trauma centers, between 2011 and 2014. He subsequently joined the pediatric emergency team at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Abu Dhabi, becoming division chief for the pediatric emergency department in 2017 and chairperson for the emergency department in 2019. He is a member of the College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (M.R.C.S.Ed.), a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the UK (M.R.C.P.), a fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (F.R.C.E.M.) and has a diploma in child health from the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (D.C.H.).
